Laura was made to be the perfect soldier. And if that was the destiny chosen for her, she decided, then it was exactly what she would become. She would train and fight every day, and become stronger than anyone else. She had this one ideal to support her, and that was enough. It was enough for her to overcome all the difficult times waiting for her.

But it was her reliance on this identity that was to be her undoing. Times change, mistakes are made, and even the most powerful fall from grace. As everything to which she devoted herself slips away from her hands, Laura is left devastated and with no purpose left in life to push her forward.

When she finally finds a new source of inspiration, an idol, she desperately grabs onto that new way of life. Laura's mind is as tough as steel, and her heart as cold as ice. She is willing to eliminate any obstacle and make any sacrifice necessary to become closer to the vision of perfection that torments her. But Laura will soon find out that there are some problems strength alone cannot solve. And, she will have to confront people who cannot accept her current path – people who wish to teach her the meaning of hope.
