If looking for Natsume Rin, it is best to first check out the gathering spots of the local cats. Much more a cat person than a people person, Rin is likely to avoid crowded places in favor of spending time with her feline friends.

Rin is not your typical shy person, though. More than used to getting into scuffles with her predominantly male group of childhood friends, Rin packs a mean kick and is highly athletic. Her manner of speech is also more direct and rough than what is expected of a girl her age – she is not that good with all that politeness stuff. But Rin’s behavior changes drastically when confronted with somebody outside of her circle of closest friends. She is unaccustomed to both giving and receiving attention and affection, and she will go to great lengths to avoid talking face to face with strangers. If she cannot hide behind the back of a trusted companion, there is always the option of just running away.

But the caring heart Rin shows to her cat friends is not a lie. Rin will always extend a helping hand to those in need, even if it means having to leave her comfort zone. She just has to do it at her own pace. But if it means gaining a friend like Rin, a bit of patience is more than worth it.
